Global Chinese manufacturer to set up base in MUIP’s Bandar Springhill

A Shenzhen based manufacturer of medical instruments, Antmed Malaysia Sdn Bhd, is set to open its factory in Bandar Springhill following an agreement signing with West Synergy Sdn Bhd today.

West Synergy, a 60% owed subsidiary of MUI Properties Bhd ( MUIP)  entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Antmed Malaysia to dispose of 53 acres of freehold land in Bandar Springhill for a consideration of rm 80.8 million

Antmed Malaysia is owned by Shenzen Antmed Company Limited, a Shenzhenbased manufacturer of medical instruments. The Antmed group had planned to expand their manufacturing capacity overseas. Having surveyed various locations in Malaysia, it decided on Bandar Springhill due to its strategic and conducive location for manufacturing activities. 

Antmed company Ltd specializes in research, development and manufacturing of advanced medical devices for applications in medical imaging, cardiovascular and minimally-invasive anesthesia and intensive care. 

As a market leader in the high-pressure syringe and disposable pressure transducers sectors and provides a one-stop solution of CT,MRI and DSA contrast media injectors, consumables and pressure IV catheters, it exports its products to over 100 countries worldwide. 

At the signing ceremony, MUI Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Andrew Khoo said : “We are pleased to welcome Antmed to Springhill as its entry will energise the fast growing  industrial precinct of our township. We have confidence that this global manufacturer will add tremendous value by drawing other medically related businesses to our area.

“ Antmed, in setting up its manufacturing base here, will not only create employment opportunities and spur the overall development of the state , but it will also serve as a catalyst in driving the Malaysian ecosystem for a medical hub.

“We will endeavour to continue to position Springhill as a complete and integrated residential, commercial and industrial development”

Bandar Springhill, strategically situated in the Seremban – Port Dickson corridor and easily accessible from the North-South Highway, is a 2,000 acre township development that has built more than 4,500 homes and commercial units with numerous project launches in the pipeline. 

There is a wide range of available services and facilities within the township including the full serviced UCSI hospital, the UCSI international school and retail and F&B services that will soon include A&W and supermarkets.
